Reserve Collection

Reserve Collection

The Reserve collection contains items that are in high demand. These types of reserve materials include supplements, DVDs, CD or audio-book materials, flashcards and study aids.  The Reserve collection contains items that have greater circulation restrictions than materials in the main library stacks. The Reserve collection exists to ensure access to high demand materials for student use.  The heavy use of items in this collection is accommodated through very short loan periods (usually 4-hours) and sometimes the requirement that materials be used in the library.

Course Reserves

In addition, materials assigned by Faculty for specific class use are placed in the Course Reserves collection. Course Reserves materials include supplemental reading material that is placed on reserve by professors for their students, print articles, instructor-owned and library copies of books, and videos. Reserve materials are held at and checked out from the Circulation desk.

Helping Others

Each of us can look back upon someone who made a great difference in our lives.  Someone whose wisdom or simple acts of caring made an impression upon us.  In all likelihood it was someone who sought no recognition for their deed, other than the joy of knowing that by their hand, another’s life had been made better.

Stephen M. Wolf

Inspirational Quotes

“The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention. A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.”
Rachel Naomi Remen
